A penniless, 75-year-old, former Catholic priest takes on establishment politics when he runs for the U.S. Senate in Wyoming. Going up against an incumbent candidate with an enormous war chest, Charlie relies on a ragged band of volunteers and grass roots fundraising for his campaign. Charlie vs. Goliath confronts the difficulty of reforming a political system bankrolled by big money.
