A sick little boy encounters the mysterious king of the elves during a frantic ride through the forest with his father. As he journeys to the Erlking’s world, the boy is both exhilarated and terrified by what he sees. Erlking is based on Goethe’s poem “Erlkonig” and a dramatic score featuring the music of Schubert and Liszt.
