About the Film
As Javier, a classically trained trombone player, prepares for a pivotal college audition, he’s asked to perform with his father’s banda group, forcing him to confront the cultural roots he’s tried to keep quiet at his elite private school. When a video of the performance circulates among his peers, embarrassment erupts into a painful rift between father and son. To move forward in music and life, Javier must reconcile youthful ambition with family, heritage, and the sound he’s been running from.
