Emmie, a withdrawn teenager who plays on her high school’s field hockey team, has a troubling encounter during a visit to the school doctor. When she talks to a teammate, Emmie learns that her experience is not an isolated incident. Told entirely from Emmie’s point of view, Undercut explores the complicated emotions that female athletes face after sexual abuse.
