Volunteers donate their valuable time to make the Ojai Film Festival and its year-round programming a thriving environment for filmmakers to share their stories. They touch every aspect of the organization from Festival setup to will call to hospitality for our off-cycle special events.
Volunteers donate their valuable time to make the Ojai Film Festival and its year-round programming a thriving environment for filmmakers to share their stories. They touch every aspect of the organization from Festival setup to will call to hospitality for our off-cycle special events.
Commitment
Volunteers may commit to onsite Festival and event roles like will call, hospitality, set-up, etc, or those wanting to work remotely may help with marketing, design or project management. For onsite work, the time commitment is usually a 4 hour shift. For remote work, the commitment may be project based and operate on the volunteer’s schedule.
All volunteers receive :
- 4-pack of tickets
- Festival apparel
- Volunteer Appreciation party invite
2024 Festival Dates :
- Mid-October: Volunteer orientation
- October 31-November 4: Ojai Film Festival
- Thursday, October 31 (evening): OFF Box Office open at Libbey Bowl Screening
- Fri-Mon, November 1-4: OFF Box Office open full-time at the Ojai Art Center
Filmmaker Hosts
Filmmakers consistently say that staying with a local is one of the highlights of their festival experience. We are looking for hosts to provide a guest room for 1-3 nights. In exchange, you will receive one 6-pack of tickets to the Festival!
