Nestled in the woods outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Camp Alec is a sleepaway camp for non-speaking kids. Although disabilities like autism, cerebral palsy, and verbal apraxia have made it impossible for these campers to vocalize speech, they are smart and capable in every sense of the word. Camp Alec celebrates the power of communication in all its forms.
