A young friar tasked with extinguishing the candles in a huge cathedral gets more than he bargained for when he encounters a flame with a will of its own. A sudden change of heart provides a whimsical resolution to the friar’s dilemma. Using elements of magical realism, Evensong offers an inspirational message about the interconnectedness of life.
