Thirty years ago, a Dutch couple adopted an Iranian girl named Farideh. As an adult, Farideh overcomes her misgivings and travels to Iran in search of her birth family. When she arrives, three different families claim Farideh as their own. As Farideh explores her Iranian heritage, the film raises intriguing questions about the nature of identity.
