In December 1977, hurricane force winds and a snapped electrical pole ignited the Honda Canyon fire at Vandenberg Air Force Base. Firestorm ’77 reconstructs the chaos of the fire as told by the people who fought on the front lines. What emerges is a story of culture clashes between military commanders and civilian firefighters as they battle the deadly inferno.
