High School Filmmakers Program

In its 9th year, the Student Filmmaker Program brings school chaperoned high school students, interested in film, to the Festival for a morning of specially designed seminars with working film professionals. The afternoon is filled with discussions with the festival’s filmmakers and attending screenings of festival films.
A special screening of local, Ojai high school filmmakers’ films – winners of the Ojai Film Society’s yearly Student Filmmaking Competition – is a part of the day’s activities.
This program is one aspect of the Ojai Film Festival’s commitment to celebrating the “World of Cinema” and encouraging young people to appreciate the art of film.
