An Albanian family struggles to survive after government agents force them into an internment camp. For Artur, the agony of imprisonment is compounded by the family’s proximity to his former flame Frida, who is forced into an engagement to a high-ranking operative. Internment exposes the cruel absurdity of life during the waning years of communist rule in 1980s Albania.
