Lolo is an openly gay eleven-year-old boy trying to convince Max, his first love, to go public with their relationship at a school party. However, Max is not sure Lolo is the one and friends Evelyn and Toby step in to help Lolo cope. Lolo deftly portrays the camaraderie of childhood friendships and the bittersweet experience of first love.
