A young soldier has second thoughts about executing a prisoner after seeing the man with his family. His commander is one week from retirement and refuses to allow a subordinate to derail his chance at a new life. Anchored by superb production values and compelling performances, this short film explores the competing claims of duty, compassion and personal responsibility that inform the executioner’s moral dilemma.
