Mid-year Updates

We’ve been busy building a new foundation here at the Festival. What does that mean?

Mostly really boring stuff like:

• Making sure this newsletter gets delivered to Yahoo, AOL and SBCGlobal email inboxes through DNS changes
• Digitizing all our files and processes.
• The organization has moved to a nonprofit (free!) version of Google Workspace which helps with information sharing and succession planning as people retire
• Signing up for PayPal Gives so we can start fundraising on social platforms
• Refining our HR and legal practices so we use contracts with vendors and provide good IRS reporting to donors and sponsors

But some fun stuff too:

• Rebranding and creating a new logo
• Updating our website so purchasing tickets, navigating our program and the like will be much easier
• Throwing a fundraiser on Aug 17th! We need volunteers! (see below)
• Working with new partners like 805 Film Co., the Ojai Film Society, the Ojai Playhouse and some really interesting organizations like NFMLA to bring us new programming
• Creating community at an amazing happy hour co-sponsored with OHive and the 805 Film Co at Topa Topa Brewing as pictured
