Built on the edge of Venezuela’s largest oil field, Congo Mirador was once a magical, thriving fishing community. Now the village literally sinks into Lake Maracaibo due to pollution and neglect. Filmed over seven years, this moving documentary bears witness to the corrosive consequences of corruption that reaches the farthest corners of Venezuela and pits neighbor against neighbor in a struggle for survival.
