The year is 1942 and 18-year-old newlyweds Marjorie Hua and Private Tom Carlson have just arrived at a small inn for their honeymoon. While they wait for their room, they must contend with questions about their uncertain future. With Tom leaving for the war in the morning, the young couple finds joy in the brief time they have together.
