Mariam is an intelligent young woman trapped in a loveless marriage. After learning  she is pregnant, Mariam makes a clandestine trip to the pharmacist to obtain an illegal abortion. When the pharmacist refuses to help her, Mariam turns to Lebanon’s black market for help. A visually stunning film with standout performances about one woman’s struggle to reclaim her body.
