Festival Public Opener: Beetlejuice (1988)

Each year, the festival kicks off with a free, outdoor, family-friendly film screening. This year we also celebrate Halloween and the releaseof the sequel of Beetlejuice! Come enjoy this classic PG film by Tim Burton, featuring Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Michael Keaton, in the cool Ojai twilight at Libbey Bowl. Open to all. No reservation required. Bring a blanket and movie snacks. Costumes encouraged! Free hot beverages will be served.

Filmmaker Mixer

Ojai Film Festival is honored by the more than 400 filmmakers who submit their work to the festival each year. The Filmmaker Mixer is in appreciation of these innovative creators. Join us for networking and mingling with cast and crew and the larger members of the festival family.

Free beer and wine and light appetizers will be served.

25th Anniversary Festival Party

Very few independent film festivals are able to celebrate twenty-five years. 2024 marks that anniversary for the Ojai Film Festival! Party the night away with our community of guests, volunteers and filmmakers in an open venue under the stars, with complimentary drink and food and music to set the scene. The festival has become a mainstay in the cultural fabric of the Ojai community and we’re most happy to celebrate this fact!

Free beer, wine, a signature cocktail and heavy appetizers will be served.

Honoring the creativity brought to Ojai by myriad multinational talent, the Awards Brunch presents trophies (The Libbey) in all film categories, plus several unique areas such as the Distinguished Achievement Awards. This year we honor director, Fred Toye, and cinematographer, Robert Elswit.

On this fall morning, attendees enjoy a vegetarian-friendly breakfast buffet, unlimited mimosas and coffee as winners accept their awards. Buy your tickets early- this charming celebration always sells out.
