In 1960s France, a group of young men are labelled as idiots and locked away in violent asylums. Then, philosopher Jean Vanier secures their release and establishes L’Arche, a commune at the edge of a beautiful forest. Now in their 80s, this unlikely band of activists reflects on the meaning of happiness and what it means to be human.
