On December 4, 2017, sparks from power lines ignited a small brush fire near Thomas Aquinas College. Within hours, the Thomas fire became the second largest in California history, burning over a quarter million acres before firefighters finally contained it on January 12, 2018. The Perfect Firestorm features personal stories of survival and healing following this historic wildfire.
