After learning his son died from COVID-19 in Los Angeles, Chang Dong decides to fly over from China to collect his remains. Unable to speak English, he hires Janice, a Chinese college student, as his translator. Despite a rocky start, the two strangers develop a mutual understanding as Janice bears witness to Chang Dong’s silent grief.
