In the wake of an earthquake, a girl wanders among the ruins of her home and discovers blood stains on her pants. Unable to find her mother, the girl doesn’t realize she has gotten her first period and assumes she is dying. The Wound is a subtle, understated film about the important bond between mothers and daughters.
