The year is 1936 and America is mired in the Great Depression, Young, ambitious, and convinced of his genius, an arrogant Orson Welles arrives in Harlem to stage the first all-black production of the Shakespearean classic, Macbeth, and quickly alienates everyone involved. Inspired by true events, Voodoo Macbeth is a timely dialogue about art, sexuality, and the creative process.
