Celebrity Bruce Vilanch to Attend Ojai Film Festival’s Inaugural Fundraiser OFFSite on Saturday August 17th

[Ojai, CA – August 12, 2024]— The Ojai Film Festival is thrilled to announce that legendary comedian, songwriter, and LGBTQ activist Bruce Vilanch will be attending and participating in a special Q&A session for the inaugural fundraising event. OFFsite celebrates the festival’s 25th anniversary and will culminate with a spectacular disco after-party featuring renown and local DJs Jeniluv and Jon Riddell. This event will take place at the Ojai Art Center from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM Pacific Time on Saturday, August 17th.

OFFSite, the first-ever fundraiser for the Ojai Film Festival, promises an unforgettable evening filled with film, conversation, and celebration. Guests will have the unique opportunity to engage with celebrity attendees, including Vilanch, who is featured in the evening’s highlight film, Studio One Forever. This event is dedicated to bringing the community together and celebrating the power of cinema to uplift diverse voices.

Studio One Forever offers a deep dive into the history of America’s iconic gay disco, providing a vibrant exploration of LGBTQ+ history through the lens of this influential club. Following the screening, Vilanch will take part in a Q&A session, giving attendees the rare chance to hear firsthand about his experiences and the importance of LGBTQ+ representation in the media.

The evening will conclude with a lively party featuring disco lighting and photo booth from Sound Source rentals, live DJs, a fully stocked bar, and delicious food..
