During a visit to relatives in China Sining brings his American boyfriend, Patrick, who is initially embraced by the family. When Sining accidentally outs himself, everyone changes their attitude—except for Sining’s seven-year-old nephew, Naonao. This thought-provoking dramatic film explores attitudes toward homosexuality in China and is based on real people and actual events.
