After a divorce, a Filipino-Japanese woman is alienated from her son. As the non-custodial parent, With little recourse to restore her parental rights, Rie sinks into despair. Through her work with a nonprofit organization, Rie rebuilds her life and joins an international movement to protect a child’s most fundamental right—the right to be loved by both parents.
