A family gathers at a backyard memorial to remember Botao, their beloved patriarch. As a guitar plays, the family dishes up traditional Portuguese food and a lifetime of stories. As one relative after another shares their memories of Botao, charcoal illustrations flow from one picture frame to another to convey the photographic remnants of a man’s humble but remarkable life.
