When two lemurs set off on an around-the-world trip in their dirigibles, a freak storm poses an existential threat to their friendship. Through skillful stop-motion animation, Two Balloons crafts an exquisite world and lovable characters reminiscent of Wind in the Willows and Wallace and Gromit. Inspired in part by the director’s filming of winter expeditions in North and South America.
